In Home Consultations (temporarily limited due to COVID-19)
Scheduled in home lactation consults are $140, and run up to two hours. Home visits farther than 15 miles will incur a travel fee. Please plan to feed baby shortly after our visit begins. We will do a weighted feed, a structural assessment, oral assessment, written care plan, therapeutic tummy time (TummyTime! Method) lesson, flange fitting for your pump, and more! For twins/multiples, please plan for a third hour, which is $50.
Most insurances are mandated to reimburse for lactation support because of the Affordable Care Act. At the end of our visit, I will provide you with a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. I accept cash, check, or USAA transfer as forms of payment. I am also able to take all major credit cards, as well as HSA cards, with a $3.50 convenience fee. *NEW! Contact me directly about possibly filing your visit to insurance.*
You and your baby would likely benefit from a consult if you are having painful or uncomfortable nursing, slow weight gain, symptoms that mirror "colic," "reflux," or "thrush," trouble pumping or choosing the right pump/flange fit, possible low supply, working out a routine for returning to school or work, introducing solids, weaning, exclusive pumping, weaning from the nipple shield, and much more! With each client, I learn more ways to help moms and babies find happy breastfeeding. Contact us today to see how we can do the same for you.
Phone & Email Support
Phone and email lactation support is available for moms that have already received a consult and that I have a detailed background report on. Basic questions may be answered by phone, but no detailed advice or recommendations can be given without assessing the mom and baby in person.
Pregnant and/or nursing mothers are strongly encouraged to attend our monthly breastfeeding support group meetings - details can be found on the Contact/Support tab of this website. Daytime meetings are held the third Thursday and evening meetings are held the first Tuesday. These meetings are free to attend for the nursing dyad.
Follow Up Visits
If one or more follow up lactation consultations are desired, a discounted rate will be given. One hour lactation follow ups are $70.
Virtual Cleft Support
Virtual assistance and support in setting up a breastmilk feeding care plan that will protect your unique breastfeeding journey. Our first visit is one hour and $70. Consults will be billed in five minute increments at $5 per five minutes.
As an IBCLC, I do not:
Perform any nursing duties or diagnoses
I do not and cannot diagnose any issues, but I can refer you to the correct physician and report to them what I have detected. I am not a nurse, therefore, I do not perform any nursing duties.
Make decisions for you
I am here to provide you with all the evidence so you are able to make an informed decision that works best for you and your family.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
I will not speak to the hospital staff for you, but I will help to make sure they understand your wishes and feeding goals.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
My personal opinions and beliefs do not and will not have any influence on how I run my practice. You are free to make any decisions, and state your opinions, without being judged or ostracized for them.
Prenatal visits are available singly or as a package, along with a postnatal consult. Booking the pre and postnatal package saves you $20.
I am also available in a group setting for educational breastfeeding classes. Contact me with your group size and goals to have a specialized package and rate tailored to you.
Please note that any consult cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the consult will incur a $75 fee. All cancellations must be done directly on the patient portal where you booked your visit - not text, phone call, or email.
